Our HistoryHazleton Oil & Environmental, Inc., formerly Hazleton Oil Salvage, began in 1961 as a one man, one truck operation in Hazleton, PA. Since that time, Hazleton Oil has developed into one of the leading waste oil recycling facilities in Pennsylvania. Throughout the past 47 years, we have developed a strong following of satisfied customers based on our excellent service history.The current owners are both veterans in the environmental recycling industry. They bring a combined 50 years experience to Hazleton Oil & Environmental. Under their guidance in the last 5 years, the company has flourished. We have added many new services to better serve our customers while maintaining the same high quality of service our customers expect. We can now be a "one stop" environmental recycling shop for our customers. Hazleton Oil & Environmental has increased its truck fleet and staff to better serve our customers. We have added additional trucks and drivers to accommodate increasing customer work requests. The staff of Hazleton Oil & Environmental has gone through OSHA & DOT training sessions so that we are in compliance with all federal, state & local regulations. Hazleton Oil & Environmental will continue to offer unsurpassed service to its customers. We will strive to meet and exceed customer expectations. Biography for Sloane SixSloane Six is the CEO / President of Hazleton Oil & Environmental, Inc. Since purchasing the business from the original owner in 2003, she and her husband have grown the businessm significantly. They have expanded the products and services to become full-service, serving a much broader geographical area in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. Additionally, they have put over $5M investment into the business to upgrade the facility, fleet, data systems, purchased adjacent land for future expansion and a 3.3M gallon major bulk petroleum terminal. Currently, they are launching a monitoring / sensor technology to serve their customers that they jointly developed with a world leader in remote sensing capabilities. HOE is an innovator and leader in their industry bringing novel technology and ideas to all aspects of the business. Prior to purchasing HOE, Sloane was the founder of The Sloane Group, a management consulting group established in 1995. The company launched new technologies around the globe for Dow, DuPont, Hercules, BOC Gases, Ethyl Chemical, and other fortune 500 companies. Sloane has served as CFO, Director of Marketing and Business Development, and as a board member for start-up companies. During her career she has worked for The Boston Consulting Group, and Westinghouse Environmental and has started five other businesses to date most recently Quarry Hill Farm, an organic sustainable 100-acre farm where she and her family raise small protein for local families and restaurants. Sloane holds a U.S.Patent for a fumigation technology. She earned her B.S. degree from Barnard College in Geology and her M.S. degree in Geochemistry from Columbia University.
